The Nigerian star have notched 6 goals in his 26 Serie A games this season
Super Eagles attacker, Cyriel Dessers, might feature for U.S. Cremonese in the last days of the Serie games amid injury woes.
The Nigerian star was ruled out of the season after picking up a tendon injury which made his effort greatly missed in their battle against relegation.
The 28-year-old, whose performances have been crucial for Davide Ballardini’s troops, missed their 1-1 tie against AC Milan, and could do nothing as the Violins lost their chances of safeguarding their Serie A stay with a double loss to Juventus and Bologna.
With recent reports, Dessers, despite being ruled out, puts his return against Lazio in big question. But, might make a comeback in their last game against William Troost-Ekong’s Salernitana at the Giovanni Zini Stadium.
His club reveals that the attacker, is currently undergoing a therapy for his tendinopathy, and date to his return is yet to be determined.
A part of the statement reads: “Dessers (tendinopathy) continues the cycle of therapies at a specialized facility. Training tomorrow at 11.”
The Nigerian international, having missed four games for the Cremona-based club, might return to play his farewell Serie A game for Cremonese on June 4.
Cremonese currently find themselves in the 19th place of the Serie A standings with only two games remaining. A victory in their last two games is still not enough to safeguard their stay in the top flight division.
