Dessers is the third-highest goalscorer for Cremonese, but they would have to manage without him for their remaining games of the season
Super Eagles striker Cyriel Dessers is set to miss Cremonese’s final three games of the season because of an injury to his tendon, Soccernet.ng reports.
Dessers left Jupiler League side Genk for Cremonese last summer. Unfortunately for the 28-year-old striker, it has been a horrible campaign for his Cremona-based side.
Cremonese sit 19th in the Serie A, and with three games left, they are in danger of getting relegated from the Italian top flight. Dessers has six goals to his name in the league, but his strikes have done very little to help his side.
The Super Eagles striker has missed Cremonese’s previous three games against AC Milan, Spezia, and Juventus because of an injury to his tendon.
According to Tutto Sport, Dessers could miss Cremonese’s last three games of the season as the club doctors are unsure of when he will return to action.
Cremonese are six points behind the safety zone, and a loss or draw would effectively dump them out of the Serie A. They take on Bologna, Lazio, and Salernitana in the last three games of the season.
