Why Napoli’s Osimhen will be a threat to AC Milan’s defence – Henry Onyekuru’s Coach

In Napoli’s scoreless draw with Verona, Victor Osimhen was reintroduced into the lineup.

Adana Demirspor boss Vincenzo Montella has highlighted the significance of Nigerian attacker Victor Osimhen ahead of Napoli’s match against AC Milan.

In an effort to proceed to the tournament’s semifinals, the Parthenopeans will host Stefano Pioli’s team at Diego Maradona Stadium for the rematch of their UEFA Champions League match.

Montella, who backed Henry Onyekuru after his club fans whistled him on Saturday, believes the 24-year-old, who just recovered from an injury, will be crucial in their effort to defeat Milan.

Since the wrap-up of the international break, Luciano Spalletti’s team has struggled to get their season going, losing to Milan 4-nil in the league and 1-nil in the first leg of their Champions League matchup.

In an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, Montella said that adding Osimhen to the team would complete the jigsaw needed to avenge their prior losses to the Rossoneri.

“I think so, for how he attacks deep, fills the area, and for his aerial play skills. And then, because he helps the team even when the ball belongs to others, it misses if he isn’t there. He makes an impact if he is there, provided it’s in ideal conditions. Napoli recognises themselves more with him.

“They change their way of playing, and they will change it against AC Milan,” the 48-year-old said, as quoted by Tutto Napoli.

The Nigerian star established his comeback when the Neapolitans faced Verona in their toothless draw on Saturday. Meanwhile, he will be looking to fire his team to victory when Napoli hosts Milan.
