WATCH: “We’re proud of you” – Cubana and Peter PSquare celebrate Osimhen after Champions League dinner in Napoli

After Tuesday’s elimination of Napoli from the Champions League, Nigerian celebrities Peter ‘PSquare’ Okoye and Pascal ‘Cubana Chief Priest’ Okechukwu celebrated with Victor Osimhen at a dinner in an upscale Naples restaurant.

The duo was part of a group of friends that went to watch the game in support of the Nigerian striker, who scored the equaliser in the 1-1 encounter against AC Milan. However, Napoli were eliminated 2-1 on aggregate after they lost the first leg 1-0 in Osimhen’s absence due to an injury he picked up while playing for Nigeria last month.

Those at the dinner included sports brand expert Drew Uyi, former Super Eagles striker Simy Nwankwowho now plays at Serie B club Benevento, sports media entrepreneurs Oma Akatugba and Lolade Adewuyi, the managing editor of Soccernet.ng.

Despite the elimination from the Champions League, Osimhen was in high spirits as he hosted his friends to a sumptuous dinner of Spanish steak and roasted potatoes, Neapolitan ice cream and lots of fine wine.

“We are proud of you, the moment we shared with you today is legendary,” entertainment mogul Cubana told the young striker after dinner.

Both Peter Okoye and Cubana then sang with Osimhen before leaving the restaurant in the early hours of the morning. Several fans of Napoli waited outside to get autographs and have their pictures taken with the striker.

Osimhen has scored 26 goals in all competitions this season and he is leading the Serie A scorers’ chart as well as leading Napoli to their first title in 33 years.

Okoye and Cubana both told Soccernet.ng that they would return to Naples to celebrate the Scudetto title with Osimhen when the season ends.
