Report- Unai Emery renews interest in Super Eagles star amid Real Madrid link

Unai Emery is now restoring stability at Villa Park, leading Aston Villa to sixth place in the English Premier League and a top-four finish

Former Villarreal boss, Unai Emery, has turned his gaze at digging his former club for a special talent to bolster his squad, Soccernet.ng understands.

According to reports, the 51-year-old manager is attempting to entice his former player, Samuel Chukwueze, to Aston Villa after his stellar performance for the Yellow Submarine.

Following his brilliant display at the Santiago Bernabéu, the Nigerian sensation drew media notice, with Fiorentina Perez apparently showing interest in the youngster.

However, the Nigerian star is said to have informed his agent of his desire to join the La Liga giants, shutting out a transfer to England or Italy.

Despite this, his previous manager, who couldn’t pass down a ‘tempting’ offer from Villarreal to join Aston Villa, is presently interested in the Nigerian and would compete with Real Madrid for his signing.

Not to mention that once Emery took over from Steven Gerrard in November, there were rumours that the Spanish manager could potentially bring Chukwueze with him.

However, despite Chukwueze’s great desire to emulate his idol, Cristiano Ronaldo, at Real Madrid, Emery’s bond with the Nigerian might play a significant factor in enticing the Super Eagles winger to join the Claret and Blue.
