Nigerian football talent shines: 5 players make prestigious list of most valuable non big-5 leagues’ U23 players

Nigerian stars are among the African players excelling in the European Leagues

Five players from Nigeria have been included among the top 100 Under-23 players outside of the big five leagues in terms of estimated transfer prices.

Victor Boniface ($15M), Chukwubuike Adamu ($12M), Noah Okafor ($12M), Olakunle Olusegun ($11M), and Raphael Onyedika ($18M) have all been rated highly in the transfer market by the CIES Football Observatory’s statistical model.

A number of teams are vying for the services of Union SG forward Boniface, who has been in outstanding form for his Belgian team.

However, as the summer transfer window draws near, his club has imposed a €20M price tag on the second-leading scorer in the UEFA Europa League before the club can release him.

Onyedika, another player from Nigeria who is excelling in the Jupiler Pro League, has been instrumental in each of Club Brugge’s 41 games thus far this season.

Another Nigerian who has been performing very well for Krasnodar in the Russian Premier League is Olusegun, who has scored 5 goals in 21 appearances for his team this season.

While representing Switzerland and Austria, respectively, Okafor and Adamu have Nigerian ancestry. Both players do a superb job of representing Nigeria and are very valuable on the transfer market.

The aforementioned Nigerian players may make their respective clubs’ summers hectic as many teams compete for their services.
