Arsenal FC U21 forward Joel Ideho has been invited to the Flying Eagles training camp in Abuja ahead of the 2023 FIFA World Cup in Argentina.
The 19-year-old is a former Netherlands youth international in his third season at Arsenal FC after joining from Ajax Amsterdam.
An energetic and skilful forward capable of playing anywhere across the front line, Ideho has featured in 60 matches across various competitions, scoring nine goals and providing seven assists.
He has played as a left winger in 20 matches, a right winger in eight, an attacking midfielder in two, a centre-forward in one, and a second striker in one match.
Ideho’s stats in the Premier League 2 include 27 appearances, two goals, three assists, and two yellow cards in 1,170 minutes played. In the U18 Premier League, he made 13 appearances, scored five goals, provided three assists, and played 885 minutes. He also played ten games in the EFL Trophy, scoring one goal and providing one assist in 337 minutes.
The Flying Eagles are preparing for the U20 World Cup, and Ideho’s invitation is a testament to his talent and potential.
He will join other foreign-based players, including Inter Milan midfielder Ebenezer Akinsanmiro and AC Milan wonderkid Victor Eletu.
