Ibrahimovic, Origi out; Super Eagles hopeful in at AC Milan – report

AC Milan are looking to revamp their attack for next season, with two strikers, Divock Origi and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, set to depart from the club.

Divock Origi is considered surplus to requirement at San Siro, while Ibrahimovic’s time at the top is drawing to an inevitable end.

The Swede will not renew his contract expiring in June 2023, while Origi, who arrived at Milan last summer on a free transfer, has failed to impress during his time at the club.

The Belgian striker is set to leave at the end of the season, with Milan hoping to receive at least 10 million euros from his sale, Soccernet.ng understands.

As a result, AC Milan are eyeing Royale Union Saint-Gilloise star Victor Boniface as one of the ideal replacements, according to CalcioNow

The 22-year-old Nigerian striker is currently the top scorer in the Europa League with six goals and has two assists in nine games.

Away from the continent, Boniface has showcased his impressive scoring abilities at Union Siant Gilloise in the top Belgian championship.

The former Bodoe/Glimt star has 20 goals in all competitions this term, with his exploits attracting the attention of Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro.

There are already speculations that Peseiro could look to invite Boniface to the national team setup when the Super Eagles regroup for their penultimate Afcon qualifier in June.
