Dead end for Osimhen? Manchester United reportedly ‘submit a letter of interest’ for Lookman’s teammate

Victor Osimhen’s excellent performance has sparked the eye of Manchester United, who are eager to add him to their team for the next season

Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen, has been heavily linked to a transfer to Manchester United, but the Red Devils’ pursuit of Rasmus Hojlund may put a stop to this burgeoning interest.

Soccernet.ng understands that the English team has reportedly sent a letter of interest for the Atalanta striker, who serves as Ademola Lookman’s partner in the team’s attack.

Since Napoli have placed a price tag of 150 Million euros on the Nigerian striker before he can leave Diego Maradona stadium, the Danish striker, who has been termed the next Erling Haaland, has been thought to be the best alternative for the Red Devils.

Hojlund moved to the Serie A team last summer in a €17 million transfer from Sturm Graz. This season, Hojlund has a total of fourteen goals, and six assists for Atalanta and has been regarded as the finest attacking pairing alongside Lookman.

Since Cristiano Ronaldo left in the closing months of 2022, United has been looking for a striker. Upon hiring Wout Weghorst as a temporary striker, they are eager to add another centrepiece to their attack before the start of the following season.

According to a report from the Daily Mail, the 2012–13 Premier League winners have sent a letter expressing an interest in signing Hojlund.

If this is the case and United continue to go forward, Osimhen’s journey to Manchester may be coming to an end, and he may start considering other teams who are fighting for his services, such as Chelsea or Bayern Munich.

  • What is the meaning of dead end. why do guys just look for unacceptable phrase to tag developments , Does submitting a letter totally confirm he does not have any xhance of joining united if he is interested. You guys should be very careful and stop using words that sounds like a course fie bad luck be guided.

  • I know man united can never be able to afford suck amount of money for osimhen , and the football club is not the right place for him too. with or without Manchester United he will excel.
