“Always welcome”- Victor Osimhen reacts to Baloteli’s hypothetical move to Napoli

Balotelli spent a brief period with Monza in 2020 before exiting the Italian league

Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen would support Mario Balotelli’s switch to Napoli should there be a transfer move.

The former Manchester City striker and Nigerian star engaged in a social media discussion, during which Osimhen responded to a question posed by the 32-year-old Italian.

A fan commented on the Palermo striker’s Instagram story “Ask me a question” post that he would like to see him play for Napoli.

The Nigerian was the only other source the Inter Milan striker checked, and the Super Eagles player responded by saying Napoli would always welcome him.

“I would love to see you in Naples,” the fan said.

Super Mario responded to the fan’s request by tagging Osimhen in a post and addressing him with the question.

“@victorosimhen9, what do you think?” he composed.

The Nigerian attacker reposted it on his story and wrote: “You are always welcome in Naples.”

The former Liverpool forward moved to Sion last summer, where he will remain until June 2024.

However, Osimhen’s outstanding performance has caught the attention of numerous top teams, who are now competing for his signing to strengthen their rosters.

Although the Parthenopeans have slapped €150 million on Osimhen to block any transfer links, his excellent form would convince clubs to meet Napoli’s asking price.

In 2020, Balotelli left the Italian Serie A, and returning to his own nation would be the ideal way for him to call it quits on his career.

Additionally, given Balotelli’s prior performances for elite teams, pairing Balotelli and Osimhen at Napoli would increase Luciano Spalletti’s team’s danger level against their opponents.
