Watch: Victor Osimhen rage over his goal drought against Atalanta

The Nigerian forward, Osimhen, has scored 19 goals in 22 domestic league games with the Gli Azzurri

Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen, vented his disappointment at not adding to his Serie A goal total during Napoli’s match against Atalanta.

There were fireworks at the Diego Maradona Stadium following the Parthenopean’s 22nd Serie A league victory of the 2022-23 season campaign.

Amir Rrahmani and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia helped Luciano Spalletti’s team upset the Nerrazurri, although the Nigerian striker was held scoreless. This allowed them to avenge their previous loss to Lazio successfully.

The former LOSC Lille man, Osimhen, who has not yet scored in only two games, did his hardest to get shots on goal, but none of them were successful.

Osimhen took 4 shots throughout his 85 minutes of play; one was on target, two were off target, and one was blocked, but none resulted in goals.

After that, he was replaced by Giovanni Simeone in the 85th minute, and the 24-year-old was seen furiously tossing his shin guard aside as he vented his anger over his two-game goalless drought.

In the rematch of their round-of-16 match, Napoli will host Eintracht Frankfurt, and the Super Eagles forward will be hoping for the finest opportunities to score.
