Ex-England boss Fabio Capello hails Victor Osimhen’s two key qualities crucial to Napoli’s pursuit of glory

Veteran coach Fabio Capello has spoken highly of Napoli’s striker Victor Osimhen, highlighting his fighting spirit and heading abilities as his two most important qualities.

In an interview with the newspaper Marca (as per Tutto Napoli), Capello praised Osimhen for his impressive performances and contribution to the team’s success.

Capello believes that Napoli has the potential to reach the final of the Champions League, given their experienced coach and quality players.

The former England manager singled out Osimhen and Kvaratskhelia as two players who make a significant difference to the team’s performance.

According to Capello, Osimhen’s fighting spirit is one of his most significant qualities. He is a player who never gives up and always fights until the end. This tenacity has been evident in Osimhen’s performances on the pitch, where he has consistently given his best for the team.

Capello also praised Osimhen’s heading ability. Osimhen’s height and strength make him a formidable opponent in the air, and he has scored some crucial goals with his head this season.

What was said?

“Napoli can reach the final,” Capello said. “They have an expert coach, they have quality players, and they have found others.

“Osimhen and Kvaratskhelia are two players who make the difference. One (Kvara) has a lot of quality, and the other (Osimhen) fights a lot and is impressive when he heads. The other teams, Milan, Juventus, Roma, and Inter, have lost a lot.

“Napoli have so far won easily in Italy, but also in the Champions League. They finished first against Liverpool, beating them in the group stage. Napoli are a reality; they are a very, very good team.”

Capello’s comments come at a time when Napoli are performing exceptionally well in Italy and Europe.

The Neapolitans sit top of Serie A and boast a massive 19-point advantage over their closest rivals.

Napoli have also reached the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League for the first time in history, with Osimhen scoring three of the club’s five goals against Eintracht Frankfurt in the round of 16.

Osimhen has 25 goals in all competitions this term – the most he has managed in a single season.
