Super Eagles forward Samuel Chukwueze has been selected for the Laliga team of the week.
Chukwueze’s career suffered a lull in the last two years. However, since coach Quique Setien arrived at the club, he has breathed some life into the Nigerian winger.
Chukwueze has become a regular for Villarreal, starting all ten of their previous games. Last weekend, he supplied two assists for the Yellow Submarine in their 2-0 win over Almeria.
His efforts proved to be crucial, as the Yellow Submarine picked up their second consecutive win.
Chukwueze has been recognised for his performance as Laliga have included him in the team of the week.
The 23-year-old winger was selected alongside, Javi Galan, Gonzalo Plata, Antoine Griezmann, and Jorge Molina.
Chukwueze is having a great season. He has six assists in Laliga, only second to Atletico Madrid’s Griezmann who has eight.
