Chuba Akpom’s trainer Michael Carrick linked to a Premier League management position

Chuba Akpom has been brilliant under Michael Carrick’s tutelage, but the relationship may be coming to an end if Carrick takes the next appointment

Former Manchester United player, Michael Carrick, has been considered a potential replacement for Patrick Vieira at Selhurst Park.

After the South London team’s dismal season, which saw them lose 12 times, including three recent straight defeats, the Arsenal legend was shown the exit door.

The Glaziers are now hunting for the proper manager to carry out the club’s aims and objectives, and the Middlesbrough gaffer has been reportedly considered one of the best candidates.

Since taking over the Riverside club in October, Akpom, has had a successful run, and he has been operating at full capacity ever since.

The Super Eagles-eligible player has received several honours with his remarkable performance under the guidance of the Englishman, which includes leading the Sky bet Championship scorers chart with 24 goals.

If the manager accepts the Palace position after leading Boro to 16 wins and 4 losses, he may attempt to lure his top player, Akpom, to the Premier League as well, since his contract with the Championship team is about to expire.

  • He is not going anywhere yet, look at it this way, why would you want to go to a struggling team who is more likely to get relegated than no, when he is managing a team doing extremely well in the ECL and more likely get promoted than not.
