Napoli fans on social media have taken their love for Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen to a new level following a recent development.
Victor Osimhen is unarguably the most adored footballer at the Diego Maradona Stadium, with his hunger, desire, determination, and goalscoring prowess resonating well with nearly every Neapolitan.
The Napoli supporters, be it on home ground or on away soil, sing his name after his every goal, something that has become a regular occurrence this season.
The Super Eagles striker has scored 20 goals in 24 appearances this term, with ten coming in his last nine matches for Napoli.
And in appreciation, a popular Italian musician, Alex Garini, a confessed Napoli fan, composed an adorably simple song praising the brilliant Victor Osimhen.
Several Napoli supporters have infused their creativity into the song, which has gone viral on Tiktok and is taking over the space on Twitter.
It will be recalled that a few days ago, hundreds of Napoli fans showed their affection for Osimhen by struggling to own a piece of memorabilia that symbolises Osimhen’s excellence and strength of character – a replica of his mask.
Ahead of Napoli’s Serie A meeting with Cremonese, a game Il Partenopei won convincingly 3-0 with Osimhen on target, countless fans queued up in stalls outside of the Diego Maradona Stadium to buy copies of Osimhen’s mask.
Thanks in no small measure to Osimhen’s goals, Napoli are Serie A’s champions-in-waiting, with the Blues favourite to land their first league title in 33 years.
