Eliminating the gaps? Asisat Oshoala reacts to Ighalo’s goal scoring streak following his hattrick against Al Duhail

Odion Ighalo has revived scoring his goal-scoring streak, and he recently scored a hat-trick against Al Duhail to help his club reach the AFC Champions League final.

Super Falcons forward, Asisat Oshoala, reacted to Odion Ighalo’s recent goal-scoring antics after Al Hilal defeated Al Duhail.

The former Watford striker has been firing on all cylinders in the Asian League this season, scoring 8 goals and providing one assist in 12 Saudi Pro League appearances.

Nonetheless, the Nigerian has scored seven goals in six outings in the AFC Champions League, moving him into second place, one goal behind Brazil’s Edmilson Junior, who has eight goals.

The Nigerian, who might have extended his goal total and moved up the Saudi Pro League top scorers’ table, was not in Ramón Dáz’s squad for a while for an unidentified reason.

Following this, the four-time CAF Women Footballer of the Year stated that the Nigerian’s recent scoring spree had made up for his absence.

The 33-year-old’s side recently beat the Red Knights 7-nil in the semifinal at the Al Thumama Stadium to progress to the final. In the match, the Nigerian opened the floodgates of goals 2 minutes after the kick-off, where he ultimately scored three goals.

After the triumph, the Nigerian posted a photo of himself on his Instagram feed with the caption: “Asian champions league final. Vamos 🙌🏾💙🙏🏾 #thankful #grateful”

The 28-year-old goal poacher responded to this by jokingly referencing his current goal-scoring streak.

“You don return All di goals you miss during your absence 😂😂🤣 (you have returned all the goals you missed during your absence)” she wrote.

The Nigerian will be hoping to continue with his goal-scoring run when his team travels to King Abdul Aziz Stadium to face 13th-placed Al-Wehda.
