AFCON Qualifiers: Jose Peseiro selects four U-20 players to train with Super Eagles

The Super Eagles will be eager to build on their good AFCON qualifying group after crushing Sao Tome & Principe and Sierra Leone.

Super Eagles coach, Jose Peseiro, has selected four Flying Eagles players to train with his team before their African Cup of Nations qualifying matches.

The Portuguese manager has been burning candles in his quest to get the Super Eagles back on track, and aside from visiting several European clubs to see his players play for their individual clubs, he has also made a pit stop at the Flying Eagles camp, which is getting ready for the next U-20 AFCON.

According to reports, the former Venezuela boss was present during the Flying Eagles game against Zambia, where they thumped the Junior Chipolopolo at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, in Abuja.

OwnGoalNigeria stated that the Coruche native picked the Flying Eagles skipper, Daniel Bamaiyi, Adams Olamilekan, Daniel Daga, and Onuche Ogbelu after the 4-2 thrashing of Chisi Mbewe’s boys.

However, this decision was taken after the 62-year-old manager consulted with Flying Eagles head coach Ladan Bosso.

Nine days prior to the conclusion of the Under-20 AFCON competition in Egypt, the Super Eagles of Nigeria will resume training for their AFCON qualifying match.

Then, when the Super Eagles manager releases his squad list to face West Africa’s Atlantic coast side, Peseiro’s men, who are hoping to extend their winning streak in the AFCON qualifiers Group A, will be welcoming a few young players into the team.
