Official: “Unpleasant and predatory” Nigerian striker Adediran joins SK Dynamo České Budějovice

With a statement on the club’s official website, SK Dynamo České Budějovice have confirmed the signing of young Nigerian forward Quadri Adebayo Adediran.

Adediran is making a step up to the Czech First League having arrived from second-division club Dukla Prague. The 22-year-old has inked a three-and-a-half-year deal that will keep him in the south of Bohemia until June 30, 2026.

Adediran spent only a year at Dukla Prague but it was enough for his eye-catching football ability and finishing quality in and around the opposition penalty area to become evident for all to see.

SK Dynamo České Budějovice coach Tomáš Zápotočný is pleased to get the chance to work with the exceptional youngster.

“He is a young boy and a great talent, very well equipped with speed and strength,” Tomáš Zápotočný said.

“I believe he will bring us a lot of goals. We know him from Dukla, with whom he played against us in Příbram. He is an unpleasant and predatory striker.”

No one is more pleased with the conclusion of the transfer than Adediran who now gets the opportunity to mix it with the big boys in the country’s top flight.

“I’m really excited,” the Lagos-born attacker said. “It’s going to be a big adventure for me and I can’t wait for it all to start.”

Adediran will look to follow in the footsteps of compatriot Fortune Bassey who became a fans favourite at České Budějovice before moving to Ferencváros.

“When he (Bassey) played for Dynamo, he played great,” Adediran stated. “I hope to follow in his footsteps. Or maybe I’ll be even better.”

Adediran is Dynamo’s second winter signing. The South Bohemians already signed midfielder Marcel Čermák from another second-division team, Příbram.
