Manchester United plotting mega bid for Osimhen

Osimhen has been magnificent for Napoli this season, and Manchester United are willing to pay top dollar for him

Manchester United are preparing to test Napoli’s resolve for Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen next summer.

Osimhen has been brilliant for Napoli this season. The Nigerian striker has been in great form scoring twelve goals in 14 games for the Partenopeans.

The former Lille man currently sits atop the Serie A scorers’ chart. Even though he missed a month of action due to an injury.

Osimhen’s performances have not gone unnoticed as he is one of the most revered strikers in Europe.

Last summer, Arsenal and Newcastle were heavily linked to him, but they were unwilling to match Napoli’s €100 million plus valuation.

However, ahead of next summer, Manchester United are plotting a mega transfer for the 24-year-old hitman according to Manchester Evening News.

The Red Devils have just Anthony Martial as their striker, which prompted coach Erik Ten Hag to sign Wout Weghorst this month on a six-month loan deal. But he is not expected to play any further role at the club after this season.

Manchester United will want a striker that can do better than Martial, and Osimhen could be their man.

Nonetheless, Napoli will demand at least €120 million for their star man before they let him leave the club.
