Super Eagles forward wins back-to-back POTM honours in Serie A

Nigerian International wins back-to-back Player of the Month awards in Serie A

Super Eagles Midfielder, Ademola Lookman, has the player of the month award for the month of November.

The poll was created using data from the ItalianOptic app, which is the initiative’s official sponsor.

Recall that the red-hot striker has been giving an impressive performance for the Gian Piero Gasperini, having scored 7 goals and provided one assist in their domestic league.

However, Mola, who made a switch from the Bundesliga side, RB Leipzig, to Atalanta last summer for around 15 Million Euros transfer fee including add-ons, has made 15 impressive performances for the Orobici.

The ItalianOptic app, as quoted by Atalanta.it, wrote:

the Nigerian striker won’t budge from his throne as he is crowned POTM once more!

According to the report, Ademola’s two goals from the penalty spot last month, both with pinpoint accuracy to put Atalanta ahead of Napoli and Inter, championed the reason for the vote.

The 25-year-old was able to defeat Denmark’s Joakim Maehle to claim the award thanks to his outstanding performances and his unmatched physical capabilities.

Giorgio Scalvini finished in third place as the black-and-blue wonderkid solidified his spot as the centrepiece of Atalanta’s starting XI with his consistently dependable and excellent performances.
