Napoli-owned Nigerian star hopes Morocco ‘go far’ in the 2022 World Cup.

The Super Eagles player, who is playing for Bari on loan from the Gli Azzurri, has showed potential.

The Nigeria international, Michael Folorunsho, has expressed his hope for Walid Cheddira’s Morocco to progress to the last stage of the 2022 World Cup.

Recall that the Atlas Lion has been excellent in recent weeks, surprisingly overcoming Spain in the round of 16, Portugal in the quarterfinals, and Belgium, rated second by FIFA.

The 24-year-old expressed his desire for his colleague to advance in the World Cup to a respectable level while revealing his friendship with Cheddira.

He stated the following to RadioBari:

“Cheddira? He’s a friend and a great footballer, we’re waiting for him, but I wish him to go as far forward as possible in the World Cup.”

Against Portugal t he Moroccan number 21 was dismissed early in stoppage time for Morocco after receiving a second warning in as many minutes, missing his opportunity to play the French team in the semifinals.

However, the Nigerian has contributed an assist and five goals for his Serie B squad.

In their most recent match, which they won 3-0 at Stadio Pier Cesare Tombolato against Citadella, he scored for his team.

Speaking about the goal he scored in his win against the Citta, he said:

“It was difficult to score a more beautiful goal than the one scored against Parma.”

The Nigerian prodigy switched from V. Francavilla to Napoli in 2019 and has since been loaned out by Napoli to a number of teams, including Reggina and Pordenone, among others.
