The Super Eagles of Nigeria will take on Portugal at the Estadio Jose Alvalade on Thursday and coach Jose Peseiro has released a strong lineup for the fixture.
New boy Bright Osayi-Samuel makes his debut, while Kevin Akpoguma makes his long-awaited return to the team.
Nigeria’s Portuguese tactician Peseiro opted for a midfield trio of Wilfred Ndidi, Alex Iwobi, and Joe Aribo.
Upfront, Terem Moffi leads the line in the absence of Victor Osimhen, while Moses Simon and Ademola Lookman will operate from the wings.
Omonia goalkeeper Francis Uzoho maintains his spot in goal, while Watford goalkeeper Maduka Okoye and uncapped Adebayo Adeleye start from the bench.
If there is a need for wringing changes, Peseiro has able hands on the bench. In-form Genk talisman Paul Onuachu makes the bench, alongside Cyriel Dessers, Bruno Onyemaechi, Chidozie Awazie, Samuel Chukwueze, Tyrone Ebuehi, Cyriel Dessers, Emmanuel Dennis, Frank Onyeka, and Oghenekaro Etebo.
Kick-off is 7:45 PM Nigerian time.
