The Baggies have been shambolic this season, and the owners are looking to turn the club’s fortunes around
Semi Ajayi’s club West Brom are looking to employ Manchester United legend Michael Carrick as manager after they parted ways with Steve Bruce last week.
West Brom have been abysmal this season, picking just one win from their first 13 games of the season- a poor return for a club that is seeking promotion to the Premier League.
Following the series of poor results, the club decided to part ways with Bruce after less than a year in charge.
West Brom are currently in search of a new manager to fill Bruce’s void. And a couple of names have been mentioned, including former Sheffield United coach Chris Wilder.
Also, according to the Northern Echo, former Manchester United midfielder Carrick could get the job at the Hawthorns.
Carrick has not been in charge of a team since the turn of the year when he left his assistant role at Manchester United.
However, the 41-year-old is keen to get back on the sidelines, and West Brom could rival Middlesbrough for his services.
If he gets the job, it would be his first time in charge of a top team.
For Nigerian defender Ajayi, he would hope that he fits well into the setup of any new coach that arrives at the Hawthorns. The 28-year-old center-back has played 117 games since he joined the Baggies in 2019.
