The Nigeria international will head towards the important encounter with confidence after a fine scoring run
Super Eagles forward Paul Onuachu has expressed confidence in KRC Genk’s ability to pick up a positive result when they face Antwerp next weekend.
Genk have kicked off the 2022-23 campaign in brilliant form, winning eleven of 13 league matches and sitting top of the FDA with 34 points.
Antwerp have been equally impressive with ten wins, following closely in second spot with 30 points from 12 games.
Onuachu has been crucial to Genk’s excellent run in recent times, hitting the target six times in his last consecutive four matches.
And after smashing a brace in the 6-1 mauling of Westerlo on Monday, Onuachu is confident that Genk would be ready to take on their title rivals.
“We want to maintain our leadership position and move to Antwerp with confidence, because we are in a good flow. It will be an interesting game on Sunday,” Onuachu told Het Laatste Nieuws via VietbalNieuws.
Across two league matches against Antwerp last term, Onuachu scored in the 1-1 draw at the Cegeka Arena and twice in the 4-2 loss at the Bosuilstadion.
