“He has technique and speed”- Ex-Ajax star extols Osimhen qualities

The Nigerian sensational is set to make his comeback from injury, and it could be a devastating result for the Godenzonen

Former Ajax player Bryan Roy has stated that Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen could be difficult to handle if he plays for Napoli when they take on Ajax at the Stadio Diego Maradona Stadium.

Osimhen has been out with a hamstring injury since the 7th of September. However, the Nigerian hitman is set to make a return when Napoli welcome Ajax in their Champions League fixture on Wednesday.

When both teams met last week, it was an embarrassing drubbing for the Godenzonen, as Napoli stormed to a comfortable 6-1 win.

In the second leg slated for Wednesday, the Partenopeans would be looking to get a win and secure a spot in the knockout rounds.

Napoli have been given a major boost, as talisman Osimhen has been passed fit for the game.

Former Ajax forward Roy is wary of Napoli’s threat, and he believes that if the 23-year-old striker plays, he could be devastating for the Ajax defense.

“Napoli is a team that gives a spectacle on the pitch,” Roy said as per TuttoNapoli.”

“I saw Osimhen play, but what footballer is he? He has technique, speed, and courage.

“Spalletti can count on important forwards, who played an excellent match last week. Lozano is very dangerous, he fights a lot on the pitch.

“Osimhen’s return will be difficult to manage for Ajax’s defense, Timber could have many problems.”

Osimhen is expected to start from the bench on Wednesday. However, the Godenzonen have to be on their toes to avoid another drubbing, as Khvicha Kvaratshkelia, Giacomo Raspadori, and Giovanni Simeone have been firing on all cylinders in Osimhen’s absence.
