Foremost Zambian Premier League side has appointed the former Super Eagles star and coach as its boss
Zambian giants, Zanaco have appointed former Golden Eaglets, Flying Eagles and Super Eagles coach, Emmanuel Amuneke as their head coach.
According to Lusaka Times, Amunike, a Nigerian football legend will travel to Zambia in the coming days to team up with his new club.
Amunike is probably the most-travelled Nigerian coach in recent time having worked with the Tanzanian national team, whom he in 2019, led to their first AFCON since 1980 and in Egypt.
He worked in the Egyptian Premier League in the past at Al-Khartoum and Missr El Makkassa.
He coached the Golden Eaglets to the 2015 U-17 World Cup success and coached Victor Osimhen, Samuel Chukwueze and Kelechi Nwakali most notably.
Zanaco, which Amuneke is joining is a 44-year-old club in Lusaka, the Zambian capital.
They last won the MTN/FAZ Super League six years ago but have been champions in the past and are currently 9th on the 18-team league table with only four matches played so far this season.
