El Azulones are yet to win a game this season, and Umar would be looking to feast on their weaknesses
Super Eagles and Real Sociedad of Spain forward Umar Sadiq will be looking to be razor sharp upfront for his side ahead of Sunday’s visit to Getafe.
The Super Eagles hitman got off the bench and scored for Real Sociedad in a 1-1 draw against Atletico Madrid at the Stadio Metropolitano last weekend.
Despite the premature halt of his goalscoring run in midweek, Umar and his teammates are surely high in confidence after getting all three points in their first UEFA Europa League match against Manchester United courtesy Brias Mendez’s 59th-minute spot kick.
Umar saw 45 minutes of action in that clash at Old Trafford before being replaced by Alexander Sorloth.
Nonetheless, the 25-year-old striker is in pole position to get the nod to lead the line from coach Imanol Alguacil.
Getafe have been extremely poor this season picking just one point from their opening five games. And their defensive problems were laid bare last week in a 5-1 demolition at Valencia.
Umar would be smacking his lips at the prospect of extending his tally of three goals in four matches against an under-performing Getafe at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez.
However, he would need to be at his best, as Real Sociedad have won just once in their last five visits to Getafe.
