Dennis completes Nottingham Forest medical as Premier League return is imminent

Emmanuel Dennis has completed his medicals at Nottingham Forest as he sets to move to The Reds in a big money transfer

Dennis is expected to sign a four-year deal for Nottingham Forest and become the club’s thirteenth signing of the season.

Recall that Forest had previously signed Nigeria international, Taiwo Awoniyi in a £17.5m deal.

Dennis joined Watford last season for £3.5m and hit the ground running in the first half of the season, scoring 10 goals before the season was split into two.

He racked up 6 assists during the season but his contributions were not enough to keep Watford in the Premier League.

He had been previously linked with moves to Everton and West Ham but none materialised.

Forest after a humbling opening to the Premier League have dipped their hands into the purse and made more signings including Atalanta’s Remo Freuler and Dennis who will join for £20m.

The Reds are also expected to complete the signing of Cheikhou Kouyate in the coming days. This will take their summer signings to 15, the highest by far in the division.

Nottingham Forest lost 2-0 away at Newcastle on opening day with Steve Cooper’s side expected to host West Ham on Sunday at The City Ground.
