Three Super Eagles stars were on parade on the night, but they had to settle for a stalemate
Super Eagles star Semi Ajayi played all 90 minutes for West Brom, while Emmanuel Dennis and William Troost-Ekong were on the other end for Watford as both sides settled for a 1-1 draw.
Watford traveled to the Hawthorns for their second game of the season. While West Brom were coming off a 1-1 draw at Middlesbrough, Watford looked to get their second win of the season after victory at Sheffield United last week.
Dennis got the nod to start the game for Watford, and Ajayi started at center-back.
The Hornets went ahead within twelve minutes courtesy of a delightful shot from Ismaila Sarr which caught West Brom goalkeeper David Button off-guard.
However, Karlan Grant equalized for the Baggies just before halftime. Dennis was decent on the night. He attempted four dribbles and made two key passes.
West Brom were the better side in the second half, recording 14 goal attempts. Ajayi was strong at the heart of the defense, ensuring that nothing went past him. He had two clearances, two interceptions, and won six of his nine duels.
Troost-Ekong was introduced into the game for Watford in the 83rd minute to help shore up the Watford defense.
Both teams were inseparable at the end of 90 minutes, as they had to settle for a 1-1 draw.
