The Super Eagles star had a great start to the season, helping his side to a round of 16 berth
Super Eagles forward Isaac Success scored the winning goals for Udinese in the 2-1 victory over FeralpiSalo in the round of 32 of the Copa Italia.
Success was a constant fixture for the Black and Whites during preseason. The Nigerian forward repaid his manager Andrea Sottil trust in him, scoring two goals.
Udinese kicked off their season with a Copa Italia tie against FeralpiSalo, and Success got the nod to start in a ten-man attack.
The Black and Whites were always favorites to beat their Serie C opponents, and they wasted no time in enforcing their authority.
Success was fouled in the box in the tenth minute, giving Gerard Deulofeu a date with Udinese goalkeeper Semuel Pizzignacco in the penalty box.
The Spaniard left no prisoners, as he converted coolly from the spot to put Udinese ahead.
However, that was all they could muster in the first half.
Udinese looked fiery in the second half, and it was Success and Deulofeu at the heart of it again.
The former Barcelona man found Success in the box, and Success struck an unstoppable shot to give Udinese a two-goal cushion.
Nonetheless, FeralpiSalo were given a lifeline in the 67th minute by Luca Siligardi, who scored to make it 2-1.
However, Udinese held out to ensure they ran out 2-1 winners at the Dacia Arena. They will face the winner of the tie between Monza and Frosinone in the round of 16.
