Arsenal closing in on Villarreal youngster, Chukwueze could benefit from transfer

Villarreal coach Unai Emery seems to favor the 19-year-old, but he could be on his way out of Castellon this summer

English Premier League side Arsenal are close to securing the services of young Spanish sensation Yeremy Pino from Villarreal.

Arsenal have made some excellent summer so far. The Gunners have already completed the signing of former Manchester City duo Gabriel Jesus and Oleksander. They also confirmed Fabio Vieira.

In total, the Gunners have spent about €120 on recruitment this summer. However, it doesn’t seem like Arsenal are done with their recruitment, as Daily Mail reports that they are closing in on Villarreal dazzler Yeremy Pino.

Pino’s potential exit could be a good thing for Nigerian forward Samuel Chukwueze who has seen his game time reduced since the 19-year-old burst onto the scene two years ago.

Chukwueze and Pino play on the right side of the attack, but both players are quite different, and Pino has shown that he could be more reliable than the Super Eagles star.

Last season, Chukwueze made four fewer appearances in Laliga than Pino. And In the preseason, Pino made four starts, one more than Chukwueze.

However, with the Spain international’s potential exit, Chukwueze could get more game time, as academy product Nicolas Jackson would be his sole competition on the right wing. Albeit Villarreal could sign another player.

With more game time, Chukwueze could come into his own and become a more refined and effective player.

Nonetheless, the Yellow Submarine would look to milk out as much as possible from deal for Pino as there are reports that they are in a financial conundrum.
