The Steamrollers continue to enjoy the benefits of giving the Nigeria international a chance several years ago
Serbian giants Partizan Belgrade have facilitated the arrival of teenage Nigerian striker Mohamad Sadiq to the club with a view to handing the youngster a youth contract.
Interestingly, Mohamad Sadiq is the younger brother of Super Eagles striker Umar Sadiq, a former FK Partizan ace.
After ending his four-year stay at AS Roma, Sadiq arrived at Partizan in July 2019, initially on loan for €100,000 and permanently the following January for two million euros.
But barely ten months later, Sadiq left the Belgrade-based club to join Spanish side Almeria but left a lasting impression on the Serbian club.
In only 52 matches, Sadiq scored 29 goals and added another 19 assists for the Steamrollers.
After the initial €5 million payment Partizan received from Almeria for Sadiq, the Serbians have gotten another four million euros in bonuses and add-ons.
The eight-time record Super Liga champions are also due a fraction of Sadiq’s transfer fee whenever Almeria sanction the sale of the Super Eagles star.
And seemingly in appreciation of the ever-giving Sadiq, Partizan have taken the striker’s young brother on trial at their youth team, reports Alo.
The 18-year-old is also an attacker, and he arrives in Belgrade from Kaduna-based Nigeria National League side Kada City FC.
