The Super Eagles is for everyone – Peseiro says NPFL players will have opportunities

Super Eagles coach has said the national team will be open to everyone as long as you can play and carry a positive team spirit

Jose Peseiro has said the team matters more than any individual in the Super Eagles and that the national team will be open to everyone regardless of where they play.

Peseiro in an interview with Omasports said he has an open door policy on players and won’t choose based on where any player plies his trade.

He however pressed on quality of play, meeting the demands of the team and passion as three important qualities that will determine the invitation of players.

“The national team is open for everybody. Players who play locally, and outside the country. The ones from the academy, it’s open for everyone. But they need to know, that first, they need to have quality. Second, demand and third, passion. If they can have these three points, they can play here.

“Of course we have many players, not only eleven, we have twenty, thirty, forty. We have many players to choose from.

“The most important thing is the team, more than players. In this moment, we need to create group spirit and know what’s best for the national team.”
