Nigeria’s female U-17 the Flamingoes will face Ethiopia as they battle for a place in the 2022 U-17 World Cup in India
Flamingoes coach, Bankole Olowookere has invited 22 players ahead of their last World Cup qualifying games against Ethiopia.
The Flamingoes saw off Egypt 6-0 on aggregate in the last round and face a potentially tough adversary this time. Ethiopia eliminated South Africa and ended their hopes of making it to the World Cup.
The Nigerians will travel to Addis Ababa, the Ethiopian capital for the first leg, and will seek to open an impressive advantage before the return fixture in Abuja.
A total of 22 players were invited for the fixtures and they include; Goalkeepers: Faith Omilana, Linda Jiwuaku, Jessica Inyiama
Defenders: Comfort Folorunsho, Tunmininu Adeshina, Olamide Oyinola, Josephine Edafe, Miracle Usani, Confidence Nwoha, Mistura Yusuf
Midfielders: Blessing Emmanuel, Taiwo Afolabi, Chidera Okenwa, Joy Igbokwe
Forwards: Yetunde Ayantosho, Omowunmi Bello, Mercy Itimi, Alvine Dah-Zossu, Anastasia Atume, Opeyemi Ajakaiye, Bisola Mosaku and Raheemot Adebayo.
The players will fly out to Addis Ababa on Wednesday.
