Osimhen matches Etoo’s record to secure vital win for Napoli

The Super Eagles striker has been the subject of numerous transfer talks, and he could leave Naples this summer

Retired Napoli striker Roberto Sosa has urged Napoli to keep Osimhen because he believes that the Nigerian hitman’s value could increase if he spends more time in Naples.

Osimhen has been terrific for the Partenopeans this season. Despite his injury earlier this season, the former Lille striker has been outstanding, rattling the net 17 times and notching six assists in 30 appearances.

Following his displays, the Nigeria international has been strongly linked with some top European sides, including Arsenal, Newcastle, and Manchester United.

However, Sosa, who spent four years at Napoli, believes that Osimhen is yet to reach his full potential, and if Napoli holds on to the Super Eagles star, they could make more money from selling him.

“Osimhen is very strong,” Sosa told MondoNapoli.

“if I could reject any offer, I would do it. In a very short time, Osimhen’s value will double. Whoever buys this boy for 60 million euros makes a great deal. He is a young man with great room for improvement.”

Many top European sides would be shopping for reinforcements this season, and with Osimhen’s quality, Napoli would want to milk out every penny from potential suitors.
