With third place and a UEFA Champions League spot about to be sealed, Partenopei may have no need to cash in on their Nigerian import and their most-prized asset

Napoli may have no need to cash in on Victor Osimhen amid reported interests from the Premier League.

The Nigerian forward has been a subject of transfer interests from England with Arsenal, Manchester United, Newcastle and recently Liverpool all believed to have made enquiries about the former Lille striker.

With third place now in the grasp of Napoli and an automatic place in the Champions League sealed, at least €40m is expected to be in the coffers. Gazzettadellosport also said a confirmation of their third place will ensure the money will rise to €55m.

Despite many reports linking him to a Napoli exit at the end of the season, Osimhen hasn’t spoken about it but insider reports believe he’s hardly thinking of leaving Naples now except the club changes its stance.

He’s highly rated in Naples and after a difficult first season in which he managed to score 10 goals in 24 league games, he has beaten his last season’s numbers this season on every front.

In 24 games this term, Osimhen has already scored 13 goals to match his previous highest in Europe in the same number of games as he managed for the whole of last season, and has contributed more assists.

He’s one of the Serie A’s best-rated forwards and Napoli have slammed a price believed to match his importance to the squad. Napoli President, Aurelio De Laurentiis after a meeting with Osimhen’s Italian agent, Roberto Calenda slammed a €110m transfer fee on the Nigerian.
