Nigerian attacker, Olanrewaju Kayode scored in Sivasspor’s stalemate against Girerunsspor in the Turkish Super League on Monday.
Kayode scored his second goal in as many games as he continued his impressive streak after a relatively dry spell earlier in the season.
It was his sixth goal in 29 league games this season in a match where Ivorian international, Max Gradel starred in.
The former Manchester City attacker saw action for just 45 minutes but had done enough in the game, opening scoring in the 39th minute before being subbed off.
Max Gradel scored the second of the afternoon as the visitors laboured to a draw against their opponents.
Kayode completed 8 of his attempted 11 passes and had a 73% completion rate.
He won one of his six ground duels and lost possession seven times in the game.
Kayode, who played in two U-20 World Youth Championships for Nigeria has been snubbed by Super Eagles handlers for some time and may be calling for their attention if he maintains his impressive scoring form.
At Anfield, Emmanuel Dennis couldn’t save Watford as the Hornets got stung by Liverpool to further condemn them into relegation waters.
Dennis came on as a 78th-minute substitute in the game for Cucho Hernandez. His introduction however couldn’t stop the Reds from ending their impressive run in the Premier League as they ran out 2-0 victors.
