A beautiful diving header by Iheanacho in the 63rd minute put Leicester in the lead on Saturday before Fred leveled three minutes later.
Kelechi Iheanacho was a subject of criticisms in Nigeria’s World Cup qualifying games against Ghana but the attacker looked to have put the woes behind him.
The Super Eagles attacker was in the starting eleven against Manchester United on Saturday and had a mixed day leading the line for the Foxes.
In some moments, he showed great awareness and brilliance and excellent linkup play with his teammates and on others, he was caught out indecisive or too slow to react in tight spaces.

The former Manchester City attacker delivered his moment of class just three minutes after the hour mark as he scored a beautiful header from an inch-perfect James Maddison cross.
Iheanacho’s goal was just his third of the campaign although he has five assists. He thought he’d assisted the winner in the game but was caught by the VAR to have fouled Raphael Varane in the buildup.
His performance however was deemed good enough for him to be adjudged the man of the match in a poll conducted by Leicester City.
While Iheanacho will not be joining his teammates Daniel Amartey and Nampalys Mendy later in Qatar, he can take solace from bouncing back solidly after a bitter disappointment against Nigeria’s greatest football rivals.
