Four Nigerian stars feature, but Amoo and Mukairu’s Copenhagen exude dominance over Randers

The Lions continued with their outstanding form as they saw off advances from Randers to maintain their spot at the summit of the Superliga

Paul Mukairu played 71 minutes, while Amoo was a late substitute as Copenhagen thrashed Tosin Kehinde and Stephen Odey’s Randers 3-0 to maintain their spot at the top of the Danish Superliga.

The Lions welcomed Randers to the Parken Stadium as they continued their bid to win the Danish title. Copenhagen were in blistering form, winning ten of their last eleven games in all competitions. However, their visitors’ form was a sharp contrast to theirs as they had lost four of their previous five.

Copenhagen did not take long to show their prowess, as Ronny Bardagji put them in front after just 19 minutes.

Nigerian stars Kehinde and Odey started the game for Randers, but they could not register any meaningful influence in the first half, and Copenhagen took their one-goal lead into half time.

Mukairu got yellow-carded barely six minutes after the break after committing a poor foul.

Peter Ankersen doubled Copenhagen’s lead in the 70th minute.

After a decent performance from Mukairu, which saw him create two big chances, four dribbles, and four key passes, he was hauled off in the 71st minute.

Lukas Lerager put the final nail in Randers’ coffin in the 86th minute to ensure it finished 3-0 for Copenhagen.

Elsewhere, Raphael Onyedika performed brilliantly to help Midtjylland secure a 3-1 victory over Viborg.

The 20-year-old had a 78 percent pass accuracy, 57 touches, and three clearances in the game.

The victory ensures that Midtjylland keep up pressure on Copenhagen, who sit at the top of the Superliga.
