Anderson Esiti has represented AA Gent and PAOK Thessaloniki in the past.
On Thursday, both sides will face in the first leg of a Round of 16 clash in the Europa Conference League.
Esiti last played in Greece but changed scenery some weeks ago, after finding playing time hard to come by. He was initially loaned out to Greek club Goztepe before completing a switch to Ferencvaros in the Hungarian first division.
The three-time capped Super Eagles midfielder said ahead of his former side’s Europa Conference clash that both sides have high standards and he will be watching how the game pans out.
Esiti had an impressive time in Belgium where he played alongside Moses Simon in the team.
“Still, I really try to be in front of the TV on Thursday, because as a football fan I am also looking forward to this game, ” the defensive midfielder said.
Esiti had also represented Estoril in the Portuguese league in the past and has had a nomadic career playing across various European countries.
