Ghana’s national team coach, Otto Addo had said they will play with a secret plan that nobody would see coming against Nigeria but very few saw it happen in the game.
During the conference after the game, Addo answered questions by journalists and revealed what the secret system was about and how it had worked for them.
To the surprise of many, he said they played with a three-man defense which many didn’t see coming or knew would happen.
While answering a journalist who posed questions on the supposed secret, Addo said;
“First of all, I don’t understand the question. It could be two. One, you don’t understand football because I think you saw that we played out from the back with three. Did you see it? Did you know before? Did you know that we were going to play with three? You knew it! Then it was not a secret. The secret plan didn’t work well.”
Addo will lead Ghana to face Nigeria on Tuesday in the second leg of the World Cup qualifier fixture between both nations.
