The Hornets continue in their quest to preserve their Premier League status this weekend under a new manager, but they will not have the presence of all their Nigerian stars
Premier League side Watford have revealed that Nigerian striker Emmanuel Dennis will not be available for their clash against Burnley.
The Nigerian striker got sent off after receiving two yellow cards in Watford’s 3-0 loss to Norwich two weeks ago, which officially rules him out of the game at Turf Moor.
Also, according to Hertfordshire, Peter Etebo is a big doubt going into the fixture. The Super Eagles star just returned from a three-month injury layoff, but he would have to pass a late fitness test for him to make the matchday squad.
However, William Troost-Ekong and Samuel Kalu could start for the Hornets, as the Super Eagles Vice-captain has returned to full training after a disappointing AFCON campaign. Kalu could get the chance to make his debut for the Hornets on Saturday.
It would be the first time that the Hornets would square off under new boss Roy Hodgson, and a victory for Watford could pull them out of the relegation zone.
