The three-time African champions preparations may have been affected by the withdrawals of four key players, but the number in their camp is growing ahead of the biennial competition

Preparations for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations is well underway at the camp of the Super Eagles following the arrival of more players.

Amongst the players pictured in training is Henry Onyekuru. Onyekuru only found out he was in the squad on Friday after Victor Osimhen pulled out of the team.

The Premier League players are also expected to arrive today along with Joe Aribo, who plays his football in Scotland.

The Super Eagles are currently camped in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, but will fly to Cameroon later this week.

The AFCON starts on January 9, but the Super Eagles begin their quest for a fourth continental title two days later against seven-time Champions Egypt.

I’m so disappointed as Equavoen picked Olayinka ahead of Cyril Dessers, Semi Ajayi ahead of Akpouguma. I think Equavoeb don’t know much about current form of our Super eagles players.

Story! How is Cyril Desserts better than Peter Olayinka and Akpoguma better than Semi Ajayi. Both players have never proved it since coming into the national team.
