The 20-year-old forward is set for a loan move when the transfer window opens next month due to a lack of first team opportunities
Nigeria-eligible forward Folarin Balogun is set to seek a temporary move away from Arsenal in January. The 20-year-old was restricted to Carabao Cup and Europa League appearances last season, but he has not featured for Mikel Arteta’s side this season.
The Arsenal academy product has had to rely on youth team football this season, and he has been in stellar form, scoring 16 goals and assisting four in just 12 appearances.
However, the youngster is yet to convince his Spanish boss. Balogun is last in the pecking order of strikers at the Emirates, with the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette, and Eddie Nketiah all ahead of him.
The American-born youngster will now ook to leave the Gunners to search for greener pastures elsewhere.
And according to The Athletic, he is not short of suitors, as Championship clubs Middlesbrough, Millwall and Swansea have shown interest in scooping his services, while French side Saint-Etienne are also in the running.
Balogun was born in America to Nigerian parents, but he and his family moved to England when he was still a toddler.
The 20-year-old has represented England at the youth level, but he is eligible to represent Nigeria because of his parents.
