The Nigerian striker last found the back of the net on the last day of October, but he was back on the scoresheet on Thursday night
Super Eagles star Paul Onuachu scored his first goal in almost two months as Genk beat Sporting Charleroi 4-2 in their Jupiler League clash on Thursday.
Before Thursday night, Onuachu had not scored since October 31. However, he drew Genk level in their game at Cegeka Arena.
The former Midtjylland striker levelled the scores for The Smurfs in the 35th minute after Jackson Tchatchoua had put the away side ahead in the 27th minute.
It was Onauchu’s 11th league goal in 17 matches this season and his 13th in all competitions. Junya Ito put Genk ahead five minutes after Onuachu’s equaliser, but Ali Gholizadeh restored parity for Sporting in the second minute of first-half stoppage time.
However, second-half goals from Patrik Hrošovsk and Luca Oyen secured the maximum points for Glen Riddersholm’s men.
