Two Premier League sides keeping tabs on Nigerian international striker

Super Eagles forward Paul Onachu is said to be attracting interest from top clubs across Europe. The 27-year-old has been impressive for Belgian side Genk, scoring 18 goals in all competitions this season.

Reports from Corriere Dello Sports states that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and Dean Smith’s Aston Villa are tracking the player.

Onachu has been impressive since he arrived at the Belgian club in the 2019/2020 season. He has scored 57 goals in 87 games for Genk.

News of a possible move to the Premier League is no surprise following his record-breaking campaign last season.

The 27-year-old finished as the top scorer in the Belgian Jupiler League with 33 goals, becoming the first player to reach the 30-goal mark in the Belgian top-flight in this century.

Soccernet had earlier reported that Paul Onachu was linked with Tottenham, Atletico Madrid, and Bayern Munich. The former Mitchyllland man might be having a selection headache when the offers are mounted on the table.

The Nigerian International has also been included in Gernot Rohr’s squad for their next 2022 World Cup Qualifiers against Cape Verde and Liberia.
