Nigerian international nominated for Danish player of the month for October.

FC Randers and Nigerian attacker Stephen Odey have been nominated for the October player of the month award in the Danish Super League.

Odey was nominated alongside Evander Ferriera and Sebastian Jorgsten of FC Midtjylland and  Silkeborg IF respectively.

The 23-year-old, who is on loan from Genk at FC Randers, has put in an impressive start to the season. The former MFM star has scored 11 goals from 13 appearances in all competitions for the Danish outfit.

Meanwhile, another Nigerian star Raphael Oyedika was also nominated for October young player of the month in the Danish league.

Both players seem to be making an impression in Denmark so far this season. However, on the International stage, Odey and Onyedika have not played a key role.

While Onyedika, 19, is still yet to make his debut, Stephen Odey has only three caps for the Super Eagles.

Odey last featured for Gernot Rohr’s side in 2018. He made his national team debut in a 1-0 loss to Benin in 2017.
