The Nigerian international was subjected to racist abuse in the clash against I Viola at the Artemio Franchi Stadium on Sunday evening
Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has hit out at fans who hurled racial abuse at him and other African players in the Napoli team in the Italian Serie A clash against Fiorentina.
Osimhen, Kalidou Koulibaly and Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa were at the receiving end of racist abuse from a section of Fiorentina supporters on Sunday evening.
The former Lille star, who played for 84 minutes in the Neapolitans 2-1 win over their host, took to Twitter to express his disgust at the disgraceful behaviour from some fans at the game.
Osimhen said: “speak to your kids, your parents make them understands how disgusting it is to hate an individual because of the color of their skin NOTORACISM.”
It is not the first time in Serie A that black players have been subjected to racism in stadiums. Juventus striker Moise Kean also suffered similar abuse in an away game at Cagliari a few seasons ago.
Italy striker Mario Balotelli was also on the receiving end of some racist abuse during his time in the Italian top-flight.
