The former Lille man is the most expensive player in Napoli history, and a former Italian striker believes in his abilities.
Former Juventus and AC Milan striker Giuseppe Galderisi has stated his belief in Nigeria international Victor Osimhen abilities.
“There are important prospects, I expect a lot from Osimehn,” the ex Italy striker told Napoli Magazine.”
The Nigerian Striker moved from Lille to the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium for a club-record fee of €81m last summer after an outstanding performance for Lille, scoring 18 and assisting three in 38 games.
The forward struggled to replicate the same performance he put up at Lille last season as he struggled with injuries at the beginning of the season.
He also Contracted Covid-19 in January. All these factors limited the former Under-17 star to just 24 Serie A appearances.
However, the Italian striker believes that under new coach Spalletti, the Nigerian striker can replicate the form he showed at Lille and lead the Gil Azurri to silverware.
Osimhen is currently on international duty as the Super Eagles prepare for their crucial World Cup qualifiers against Liberia and Cape Verde.
