After missing out on continental football on the final day of the NPFL season, Nasarawa United Defender and Nigeria International, Franklin Tebo finally has a reason to smile
Sweden Allsvenskan side BK Häcken have confirmed via their website that they have secured the services of defender Franklin Tebo on a one-year loan deal. Also included in the agreement is an option to extend by four years at the expiration of the loan.
An elated Tebo stated his delight in joining the club. ” I am very happy to be here. It is a professional environment I have ended up in, and I look forward to getting to know the team and the club.”
According to Häcken’s website, Tebo was seen in a scouting tournament organised by Tiki-taka. His speed, strength and agility were some of the qualities that attracted the Wasps to Tebo.
The 21-year-old was key to Nasarawa United’s campaign last season, featuring in 24 of their League matches.
The defender made his debut for the Super Eagles in the friendly games against Mexico in early July.
Upon his move, he would join other Nigerians in the Swedish league, like Akinkunmi Amoo at Hammarby and Innocent Bonke at Malmo FF.
